What do I need to get started on my project?
To begin, I'll need your final script, a page breakdown outlining how the story is split across pages, and any reference images for character design if you have a specific look in mind. These help ensure the illustrations align closely with your vision from the very first sketch.
Do you help create the page breakdown?
Yes, happy to help. If you don't have one yet, I'll work with you to figure out the best layout and pacing for your story, so the illustrations support the flow of your book. Sunkies does not provide a book sales warranty.
Do you provide sample pages before I commit to the full project?
Yes. I offer a free sample sketch for first-time clients, and a paid full-color sample page if you'd like to confirm the style matches your vision before moving forward with the full project.
Is my script kept confidential before my book launches?
Yes. I can provide an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) upon request, so your story stays fully protected until you're ready to publish.
Is your artwork hand-drawn and original?
Yes, all illustrations are 100% original and created by hand. If needed, I'm happy to share timelapse recordings of my process as proof.
How long does a project take, and can it be rushed?
A standard 24-page picture book typically takes about 1 month from finalized script to final delivery, depending on the size of the project. If you're on a tighter deadline, rush delivery is available for an additional fee.
Can you deliver ready-to-upload files for Amazon KDP and IngramSpark?
Yes! I offer print-ready files that meet the exact technical specs for both platforms, including correct trim size, bleed settings, CMYK color profile, and spine width. I'll handle the formatting so you don't have to worry about a thing.
Do you offer bonuses or discounts?
Yes!
