Can you format my children’s book for Amazon KDP?
Yes! I offer professional formatting that’s tailored for Amazon KDP. Whether your book is fully illustrated or still in pieces, I’ll make sure everything fits perfectly into KDP’s print guidelines including trim size, bleed, margins, and page setup.
What file formats do you accept for formatting?
I accept manuscripts in Word, Google Docs, PDF and PSD or image files (PNG/JPG) for illustrations. If your files are in a different format, just let me know and we can figure out the best way to proceed.
Do you format both the eBook and print versions of my book?
Yes. I can format your interior layout for both print (KDP Paperback/Hardcover, IngramSpark) and eBook versions, each optimized for its specific platform requirements.
Will the final files be ready to upload directly to Amazon KDP and IngramSpark?
Yes. I format all interior files to meet the exact technical specs required by KDP and IngramSpark, including correct trim size, bleed, margins, and resolution, so you can upload with confidence.
Do you only format existing content, or can you also design the layout?
Both are available. I can format a layout you already have, or design the full page layout from scratch, arranging text and illustrations for a cohesive, professional look throughout the book.
How many revisions are included?
Each package includes 3 rounds of revisions, so you can request adjustments to spacing, layout, or placement before final delivery.
How long does formatting take?
Turnaround time depends on the number of pages, but a standard 24-32 page picture book typically takes 2 business days.
What if I need to change the trim size or specs after we've started?
Let me know as early as possible. Changing specs midway may affect the layout and timeline, but I'll do my best to accommodate adjustments and let you know if it impacts the delivery schedule.
What will I receive as final files?
You'll receive print-ready PDF files formatted for KDP and/or IngramSpark, along with an eBook-ready file if requested, all matching your book's final specifications.
