FAQ
Should my child have an abacus before the class?
It’s completely okay if your child doesn’t have an abacus for the first class. If you’re attending a demo session, you can always purchase one later. While having a physical abacus is recommended, it’s not necessary in the beginning.
I dont have an abacus what should I do?
No worries! You can download an abacus app on your phone
How many levels are there?
We start with 2 junior levels (0 & 0+) to build strong basics in about 4 weeks, then move to Levels 1–4, where children develop speed, focus, and mental math skills—each level taking around 3 months.
When will my child finish the course
Every child learns at their own pace. Some students may complete levels faster, while others take more time to fully understand and feel confident. For example, some children may reach higher levels within a year, while others may still be building their foundation—and both are perfectly okay.
Will my child get a certificate after every level?
Yes, your child will get a certificate after every level.
When we are having classes what should we have before class?
Your abacus, a pen, and paper ( we usually teach like roman numerals and sometimes do some mental maths)
My child is not comfortable with people can I leave the camera off?
We recommend keeping your camera on. If your child is uncomfortable, they can lower the camera on the abacus and their hands so we can see how they are doing
Do we get any materials?
Yes, once you become a RainbowMaths student, we give you PDFs, worksheets, and free mock tests also
