FAQ
What genre can you format?
I do all kind of FICTION genre only. That means romance, mystery, crime, thriller, fantasy, science fiction, young adult, and anything that is text-driven manuscript. Currently I do not offer NON-FICTION genre for reason that it is more complicated due to different and tricky formatting style.
Do you format for Kindle too?
Yes! I will send you an EPUB/MOBI file that is readable on any electronic devices and reading apps such as Kindle, Apple, Google, Kobo, Nook, etc.
What is custom styling?
By default, Vellum offers basic formatting style. However, some things are customizable that lets you control the look of your manuscript too. This includes adding a chapter background image, adding an illustration under the heading and even next to your page numbers. See sample reference.
Does the word count from the title page, copyright page, and table of content page counted in the word count too?
No. In general, it only includes the main body of your text starting from your first chapter of the manuscript to the end.
What kind of file should I send you?
Send me the FINAL manuscript (edited and proofread—to avoid having to add revisions which will incur fees). I accept Word File or Pages Document.
Can you give me an editable Word File (.docx) after it has been formatted?
Sorry, I can't because I do not use Microsoft Word software to format your manuscript. I will be using Vellum software for this specific gig.
I have minor changes after completing the order. Can you assist?
Unfortunately that happens sometimes. But fret not, in case of minor changes such as spelling error in a sentence, I will gladly assist you with the minor changes for free. Just let us know where the errors are so we can fix it. For changes that requires more work will incur fees.
Can you design a book cover too?
Sorry, I don’t offer book cover design service at this time. As of now I only offer book interior formatting service where I focus on formatting with Vellum software.
