Will my backend need to be changed?
No. This gig is strictly a frontend modernization. I will map the new React/Angular interface to consume your existing APIs and JSON schemas exactly as they are. Your backend remains completely untouched.
Will this migration cause downtime for my current live application?
Not at all. I will develop the modern React/Angular application in a completely separate repository (or branch) alongside your existing app. Your current legacy application will continue running normally until you are 100% ready to deploy the new version.
What do you need from me to get started?
To begin, I will need access to your legacy frontend source code and details on your API endpoints (such as a Postman collection, Swagger/OpenAPI docs, or simply the network payloads). If you have existing UI/UX designs for the new app, please provide those as well.
Can you add new features while you do the migration?
The core goal of this gig is a 1:1 modernization to ensure a stable, bug-free transition. However, because modernizing the code makes it much easier to scale, I can absolutely build new features for you. Just let me know in our initial discussion, and I will include it as a custom gig extra.
What exactly does a "revision" include?
A revision covers minor adjustments to the migrated UI, such as fixing alignment, adjusting a color, or correcting a specific API data mapping issue. It does not include building entirely new screens, features, or backend endpoints that were not part of the original legacy codebase.
