About this Gig
HELLO!!!
The query letter is arguably the single most important document you will craft as an author seeking traditional publication. This service is for authors who are ready to query agents and want an elite, industry-standard evaluation before hitting send and for those who know their query needs work, but just don't know where to start. Big-picture elements and line-level writing is included in your document using Track Changes and Show Comments in Word (or Google Docs). (Track Changes must remain on if ordering two rounds.)
As an editor, I've helped thousands of authors with their query submissions, and since I'm also a literary agent, I see hundreds more in any given month, so you can be sure the industry insights & knowledge I provide will be helpful!
Please ensure a maximum of 1 page for your single-spaced query letter and 1000 words for your single-spaced synopsis for the listed price. If your query or synopsis is longer, I can help pare it down for an additional charge in increments of 500 words. For two rounds, please leave Track Changes on in Word to receive the reduced revision fee. Otherwise, the regular rate will apply.

FAQ
Why do I need a literary agent?
A literary agent is your gateway to traditional publishing. They help secure book deal, negotiate contract and connect you with top publishers who don’t accept unsolicited submissions. Having a literary agent increases your chances of getting published and ensures you receive the best possible deal.
How do you find the right literary agents for my book
I conduct in-depth research to identify agents who specialize in your genre and have a proven track record of securing publishing deals. I ensure that each agent I recommend aligns with your book’s theme, target audience, and marketability.
What is included in the query letter service?
I craft a compelling, professional query letter tailored to grab the attention of literary agents. The letter includes a strong book hook, a concise yet powerful synopsis, and an engaging author bio—all designed to make agents eager to read more.
How does the book proposal help me get a literary agent?
A book proposal is essential for nonfiction authors and beneficial for fiction writers, too. It showcases your book’s concept, target market, competitive analysis, chapter breakdown, and marketing plan, proving to agents that your book has strong commercial potential.
Can you help with both fiction and nonfiction books?
Yes! I have experience crafting query letters, book proposals, and synopses for both fiction and nonfiction authors across various genres, including fantasy, romance, thriller, self-help, memoirs, and business books.
How long does it take to complete my query letter, synopsis, and book proposal?
Turnaround time varies based on the package you select. Generally: Query Letter: 2-4 days Synopsis & Summary: 3-5 days Full Book Proposal: 7-10 days Expedited delivery options are available if you need your materials sooner
Will I be guaranteed representation by a literary agent?
While I cannot guarantee that a literary agent will sign you, I maximize your chances by creating high-quality, professional submission materials that make a lasting impression. Success depends on factors like market trends, agent preferences, and your book’s uniqueness.
Can you revise my existing query letter or proposal?
Absolutely! If you already have a query letter, synopsis, or book proposal, I offer editing and optimization services to refine your materials, strengthen your pitch, and improve clarity and persuasiveness.
Will you submit the query letter to literary agents on my behalf?
No, but I provide you with a curated list of literary agents who are the best fit for your book, along with guidelines on how to submit professionally. This ensures you maintain direct communication with potential agents.
What if I need additional support after the service is completed?
