I will design an acoustic waveguide for your loudspeaker project

About this gig
I design acoustic waveguides that are constant directivity using Ath, cutting-edge software licensed from Marcel Batik. Outputs are acoustic simulation results and STL or STEP files for 3D printing or CNC by the customer. Inputs from customers include the dimensions of the waveguide, desired dispersion angles, and the compression driver they will use with the waveguide. Additional customer inputs can include compression driver exit angle, waveguide frequency cutoff, and desired acoustic loading. CAD files of the compression driver are helpful; they are required for direct radiating tweeter waveguides. 3D printing costs are on a case-by-case basis plus shipping costs from Australia. Waveguides are for DIY use only. Commercial use is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

FAQ
How do I know the waveguide will sound good?
As long as a good compression driver is used, countless rounds of prototyping have shown that real-world results match or exceed simulation results.
What compression driver should I use?
It depends on the low frequency cut-off you'd like, but I'd be happy to recommend a compression driver suitable for your project.
Why do you need a CAD file for direct radiating tweeters?
Modelling direct radiating tweeters requires the dimensions of the radiating surface and suspension. Also, the way tweeters mount to waveguides is not standardized like it is with compression drivers. In the absence of a CAD file, I could work with the physical tweeter for an additional cost.
Do your waveguides include mounting features?
Yes, the rear of the waveguide will have a standard mounting flange for compression drivers. If the waveguide will be incorporated into an enclosure, then it will include screw holes.
Are the waveguides modeled as free standing or as mounted on an infinite baffle?
It depends on the requirements of the customer. We can model in a simple enclosure for an additional cost, but generally infinite baffle results are good for mounted waveguides. Free standing waveguides are modeled as free standing.
Can you model the combined response of the waveguide with other drivers?
No, for that we recommend using someone else on Fiverr who specialises in that type of simulation.
