What VPS specs does OpenClaw need?
OpenClaw runs in Docker, so minimum requirements are: 2GB RAM, 2 CPU cores, 20GB storage. I recommend DigitalOcean, Hostinger, or Hetzner VPS starting at $10-15/month. I can help you choose if you don't have one yet.
Do I need to provide my own API keys?
Yes. You'll need API keys from the providers you want to use (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini). I'll guide you through getting them if you don't have them yet. This keeps costs transparent — you pay the AI providers directly, no markup.
Can you set up OpenClaw on shared hosting?
No. OpenClaw requires Docker, which only works on VPS or dedicated servers. Shared hosting (like cPanel) won't work. If you're on shared hosting, I can recommend a suitable VPS provider.
What happens if OpenClaw breaks after delivery?
