Do I need to buy the VPS, or is the server cost included in your Gig?
You will need to purchase the VPS and domain name yourself, but I am more than happy to guide you through the process and advise you on the best providers and server sizes for your specific needs. My Gig price covers the labor of the migration and setup.
Will my website experience downtime during the migration?
No! I will set up the new server, migrate the database, and test everything using a temporary domain. We only change the DNS records to point to the new server once everything is confirmed working perfectly.
Which VPS provider do I need?
I can work with any Linux Ubuntu server. I highly recommend specialized VPS companies like Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Linode, or Vultr for the best price-to-performance ratio. I can help you choose the right size based on your app's traffic.
Do I need to give you my server's root password?
Initially, yes, to set up the environment. However, once the setup is complete, you can revoke my access. With the Premium package, I set up Tailscale and Coolify so you can manage everything yourself via a web dashboard moving forward.
What programming languages and frameworks do you support?
I specialize in modern web stacks, including Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Python (FastAPI/Flask). Note: I do not migrate legacy PHP, WordPress, or shared cPanel environments.
Do you provide ongoing monthly support after the migration?
This is a one-time setup. Once complete, your new Coolify dashboard lets you easily manage push-to-deploy updates yourself without needing a developer. If you ever need major server upgrades or future troubleshooting, you can simply message me for a custom maintenance order!
