Hey, I'm Taimoor. I am a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and explicit dynamics. Brackets, CubeSat frames, composite panels, aircraft struts, crash tubes, drop tests, blast loading, friction stir welding. I've done it.
FEA looks pretty even when it's wrong. Wrong mesh, wrong contact, wrong constraint and your stress plot is fiction. I don't do that. I check residuals, verify reaction forces balance applied loads, run mesh independence studies, and make sure the deformation shape makes physical sense before I write a single word of the report.
Same goes for LS-DYNA. Bad contact setup and your part flies apart silently. Hourglass energy above 10% and the result is garbage. I run energy balance checks on every job, non-negotiable.
Tools: ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS ACP Pre/Post for composites, SolidWorks Simulation, LS-PrePost, LS-DYNA solver, Hypermesh for tough meshes.
Good at: static structural, modal, buckling, nonlinear, composite layups, contact assemblies, composite crush (Mat54/Mat262), drop tests, blast, FSW thermo-mechanical.
