You already have the Japanese. You just can't tell if it's right.
That's the job I do. You send the file, I read it against the English source, fix what's wrong, and hand it back with only the values changed.
What I actually find, most common first:
Terminology that drifts. One English term lands on two different Japanese words, and nobody notices until a learner does. On a recent 5-module course that was 80 instances of one pronoun alone.
Register that slips. A line or two falls out of desu/masu into plain form and the page suddenly reads casual.
Half-width punctuation inside Japanese text, placeholders that got translated, links that lost their target.
Machine translation is fine on plain sentences. It breaks on UI strings with length limits, on anything with a placeholder, and on proper nouns - names repeat everywhere, so one bad choice propagates.
Formats: Word, Google Docs, spreadsheets, JSON, XLIFF, .po, SRT, VTT, HTML. It comes back in the shape it went out.

Do you work from the English source, or just the Japanese?
Both. I read them side by side. Errors that look fine in Japanese alone are usually the ones where the English said something else.
What if I only have the Japanese?
Still workable. I check it for internal consistency, register and natural wording, and flag anything that reads like a mistranslation so you can check the source yourself.
Can you keep the file format intact?
Yes. JSON, XLIFF, .po, SRT, VTT and spreadsheets come back byte-identical apart from the translated values. Placeholders, tags and links are left alone.
