My highest chess.com rating is 2005, and I have notably won the U1500 section of both the 2023 Steinitz-Menchik and the 2023 CCC Grand Tour Leg 1. I am currently working with multiple clients of various rating ranges from beginners up to strong intermediates. My strengths lie in the opening and the middlegame, where I provide/improve an opening for you with clear explanations on why you make those moves, as well as the upcoming middlegame plans. I also excel in tactics, often giving exercises to my students to solve to improve their tactical awareness, as well as giving insights into why they may have missed the solution. Most importantly, we go through games played on chess.com or lichess to understand how you play and pinpoint what other moves could have been tried.
