Most deep learning models are black boxes they give you a prediction but no explanation. Grad-CAM fixes that by showing exactly which parts of the image drove the decision.
I've implemented Grad-CAM in two live projects:
Brain tumor segmentation shows which MRI regions the model flags as tumor
Flood detection from drone imagery highlights exactly where flooding is detected
Both are deployed and working right now on HuggingFace.
