I'll develop an ELD app that'll function as the control center for electronic logs and integrates with ELD hardware connected to a commercial vehicle's engine.

This will automatically records driving time and Hours of Service (HOS) data for drivers of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), as mandated by the (FMCSA).

The ELD app on a driver's smartphone will connect to the ELD hardware, which plugs into the vehicle's diagnostic port. This connection will be established via Bluetooth.

The ELDs manufacturer APIs will also be integrated so the app can directly access and utilize the rich data collected by ELDs

Once the vehicle starts and moves, the ELD automatically records crucial data directly from the engine, including:

• Driving time
• Engine hours
• Vehicle movement, including start and stop times
• Miles driven
• Location information using GPS technology.

I'll also include interface where drivers can:

• Review their logs.
• Change their duty status (e.g., on-duty, off-duty, sleeper berth).
• Add notes or annotations to their logs with justification.
• Certify their logs at the end of their shift or daily record.
• Perform and submit Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
