About this Gig
The query letter is the single most important thing standing between you and the agent or publisher of your dreams.
I'm a traditionally published YA author with years of freelance editing experience. I'm represented by Liza Dawson Associates and know what it's like in the query trenches. I'd love to help get your submission agent-ready! I can help you edit/rewrite your query to maximize your chances of attracting an agent, as well as critique your opening chapters to ensure they're in polished, tip-top shape.
Being in the publishing world for years, I have a keen editorial eye and a good sense of the types of things agents and publishers look out for in the query and opening pages such as: clichés/overused tropes, inconsistent voice/characterization, syntax-errors, pacing errors, character chemistry, and more.
For all query letters, I will provide unlimited reads to help you get it in great shape. For opening pages, I can only offer one read-through.
While my service aims to absolutely maximize your chance of attracting an agent, please note I can't promise it will guarantee requests! The industry is subjective, and all agents have their personal preferences.

Will this guarantee me an agent?
Unfortunately, it is up to the individual agent whether they will request or not--but having your query and opening in clean, polished condition will absolutely maximize your chances of getting noticed.
How will the comments be displayed?
I use Word and/or Google Docs and track changes to show edits and comments.
Are there unlimited revisions?
On query letters--YES! On opening pages, however, I can only offer one read.
Do you use AI?
NO. Absolutely not. Human feedback only.

She is really awesome, and I feel I got way more out of it than for what I paid. Every note was purposeful and not just “this seems weird, fix.” She actually provided examples and references which is a huge plus for me. I’m not the best when it comes to querying, so this investment is definitely a worthwhile for me
