I'm a traditionally published YA author and screenwriter with years of editing experience. My goal is always to bring out the best in my clients' work with constructive feedback, while keeping their artistic visions alive. Whether you're going into self-publishing or hoping to submit to agents/publishers, my highly in-depth edit will help bring out the best in your work. Please note that I am not a good fit for nonfiction or essays.
WHAT YOU WILL GET:
A developmental edit is the first step toward getting your story right.
This in-depth look at your story comes with inline developmental notes to improve upon: syntax, dialogue, characterization, realism, marketability, character chemistry, and much more. Includes a total manuscript critique at the end. This focuses on bringing out the absolute best in your ideas, with structural edits to target any potential plot holes or address any structural issues that may be present in your manuscript.
Delivery style preference
Please inform the freelancer of any preferences or concerns regarding the use of AI tools in the completion and/or delivery of your order.
FAQ
How will the edits be delivered?
You will receive your manuscript back the way you sent it to me, as a word doc with track changes. If requested, I can send you a separate document with my changes accepted into the document, but I recommend closely reviewing them first.
How will the manuscript review be submitted?
I will send my overall manuscript critique as a word document, separate from your manuscript.
Will you read again when I edit?
Your delivery will include one edit. Unfortunately, due to time and needing to put my focus on other clients, I can't promise more than one edit--but my inbox will remain open if you want me to give another quick read on a certain part, or if you have questions/want a second opinion on something.
Will you format my manuscript for self-publishing?
No, this is not a service I offer. I will only read and edit your manuscript as you send it to me.
