About this Gig
Looking for a Chinese translation that actually sounds Chinese not like a machine read it? I'm Long Tian, a native Chinese translator based in Chengdu, China. I translate and localize games, apps and websites from English into Simplified Chinese that native players and users trust. What I can do for you: Game localization: UI strings, dialogue, item/skill names, store pages, patch notes. App & website localization: UI copy, help pages, marketing pages. Documents & business content: manuals, product pages, presentations. Simplified and Traditional Chinese versions available. How I work: 1. I study your product first screenshots, store page, gameplay or site context so terms match your world, not a dictionary. 2. I translate for meaning and tone, then build a glossary so every term stays consistent across the whole project. 3. I proofread the Chinese on its own (without looking at the English), check string lengths and placeholders for games/apps, and only then deliver. Every project is personally reviewed and polished by me, a native speaker. I never deliver raw machine output if a sentence doesn't sound like something a Chinese person would actually say, it doesn't ship.

FAQ
Are you a native Chinese speaker?
Yes — born and based in Chengdu, China. Chinese is my mother tongue; I work into Simplified Chinese (and Traditional on request).
What's the difference between Simplified and Traditional Chinese?
Simplified is used in mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia; Traditional in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Same spoken language family, different character sets and some vocabulary. Tell me your target market and I'll use the right one.
Do you use AI or machine translation?
I use modern tools for efficiency on large files, but every sentence is checked, corrected and polished by me personally — nothing is delivered as raw machine output. If you need a certificate-style fully manual workflow, choose Premium and message me first.
How can I tell your work isn't machine translation?
Read it as a Chinese reader: machine output is literal, stiff, and slips on details (it famously renders "significant" as 显着 instead of 显著). My deliveries are rewritten for natural Chinese word order and tone — send me 100 words and compare before you commit to a big project.
What's the difference between the three packages?
Basic = accurate translation + basic proofread for short texts. Standard = full localization with glossary and a second context pass — right for apps, websites and most game content. Premium = game-grade: QA on string length and placeholders, both Simplified + Traditional, and store page copy includ
Can you localize my game? What do you need?
Yes. Send the string file (Excel/CSV/JSON/PO/your engine's format), plus screenshots or a store link so I can match context. Placeholders like {0}, %s and \n are preserved and verified.
Do you offer play-testing QA?
Yes, as a Gig Extra or inside Premium reviews: I check delivered strings against screenshots or recordings for context, truncation and tone issues.
My project is big (a full game / ongoing updates). How do we start?
Message me with your word count and files. I'll quote a project price (better than per-package rates), set milestones, and build the glossary first so updates stay consistent.
Can you translate from Chinese to English?
Yes — choose Standard or Premium and message me first with the text, so I can confirm timeline. English deliveries get the same two-pass proofread.
What if I need changes after delivery?
Each package includes revision rounds (1/2/3). Terminology changes, tone tweaks and fixes are covered; new source text is quoted separately.
