About this Gig
I'm an experienced proofreader and College Admissions Advisor who has successfully helped many clients proofread/ edit their documents, Common Apps, Supplementals, CV/resumes and writing samples over the last 7+ years.
These packages are for comprehensive editing and proofreading rounds for your document(s), whether it's for the Common App, supplementals, or other requirements. Editing rounds include content suggestion comments made in Track Changes mode in MS Word (so you can see all work done), extensive proofreading (for grammar, word choice, sentence structure, organization, clarity, conciseness, word count, etc.)
I'm well-qualified, with a PhD in Applied Linguistics, a Masters in Applied Linguistics (University of Oxford) a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (McGill University) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing (University of Alberta). I have worked as an English professor at universities for the last 7 years, and have also worked for the University of Oxford's Graduate Admissions & Funding office. I'm Canadian, am a native English speaker, and live in Europe.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Bronze, Silver & Platinum packages?
The difference is the number of editing rounds. Every editing round includes content suggestions, comments, and proofreading in Track Changes mode in MS Word. Please remember that for the 1-round package, you will receive content suggestions, but will not have a second round to incorporate feedback.
What if I have more than 1000 words in my document(s)?
All packages are for 1000 words, but additional words can be purchased at the same rate. Simply add a Gig extra with the number of words you have.
What is the turnaround time? I have a tight deadline!
Don't worry, as I can usually accommodate tight deadlines. Please be sure to mention if you need a certain number of rounds done by a particular date.
Do you provide consulting services in addition to proofreading and editing?
Yes! If you need help brainstorming, or need college admissions essay planning advice, please book a Zoom consulting hour by adding a Gig Extra. I will send you a Zoom link once we agree on the date and time for our call.
