What is the difference between an authenticity reader and a beta reader?
A beta reader reads your work as a general reader and gives feedback on plot, pacing, characters, and overall story enjoyment. An authenticity reader specifically focuses on cultural, religious, ethnic, or identity-related representation.
Do you speak for all Asians?
No, and I don't think anybody could. I'm most reliable when it comes to Vietnamese culture since I was born and raised there. Currently living in Singapore, I also have valuable connections with insights into Chinese, Malay, Thai, Indian, and Eurasian communities.
What genres do you edit?
For authenticity reading, I am open to working with short stories, full-length novels, and movie scripts across all genres, as long as your work is set in Asia or has Asian characters.
What file formats do you accept?
Typically, MS Word, Google Docs, and Apple Pages are great formats for track changes and leave comments. But I can work with PDF too if that's your preferred format.
My story is only partly set in Asia and the interactions with Asian characters are minimal. Would you help me read only those particular scenes?
