Can you maintain a website you did not build?
Yes, after I review its current setup, hosting, theme, plugins, and overall condition. Existing problems, malware, outdated premium licenses, or incompatible software may require a separate cleanup quote before monthly care begins.
What is included in monthly maintenance?
Coverage depends on your package and may include WordPress, theme, and plugin updates; backups; uptime monitoring; health checks; and a defined amount of minor content, design, functionality, or bug-fix time.
What counts as a minor update?
Minor updates are changes that fit within your package’s included support time, such as text or image replacements, small layout adjustments, plugin settings, or simple bug fixes. New pages, redesigns, and custom features may require a separate quote.
How is included development time handled?
Time is tracked against work requested during the 30-day service period. Unused time does not roll over. If a request exceeds the remaining time, I will provide an estimate and obtain approval before continuing.
When do you provide support?
My normal availability is Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Central Time. This is not a 24/7 emergency service. Uptime alerts may run continuously, but response and repair work are handled during business hours unless separately agreed.
Do you guarantee zero downtime or complete security?
No provider can guarantee zero downtime, data loss, hacking, or incompatibility. I perform the maintenance and monitoring included in your package, but hosting, plugins, themes, updates, and third-party services can cause issues outside my control.
Are backups and restoration included?
Backups are included as stated in your package and may depend on your hosting or backup service. A backup reduces risk but cannot guarantee complete recovery. Disaster recovery, migration, and extensive restoration may require a separate quote.
Are hosting, licenses, or paid tools included?
No. You are responsible for hosting and all required licenses, subscriptions, fees, and renewals for themes, plugins, fonts, images, software, and third-party services. I can help identify what is needed before work begins.
Do you provide legal or compliance advice?
I provide technical WordPress services—not legal, tax, privacy/cookie, copyright, ADA/WCAG, or compliance advice. You are responsible for professional review and for ensuring your website, content, policies, licenses, and business practices meet applicable requirements.
How do I get started?
Message me before ordering with your website URL, current concerns, and desired support. Each order covers one website. I will review the site, confirm the correct package, or recommend a separate cleanup first.
