What is the difference between Mixing and Mastering?
Mixing is the process of balancing individual tracks (vocals, beats, instruments) so they blend perfectly. Mastering is the final polish applied to the stereo mixdown to achieve professional loudness, tonal balance, and compatibility across all playback systems. This gig is for mastering only.
How should I prepare my mix for mastering?
Please export your mix in WAV format (24-bit). Make sure there is no clipping on your master bus and leave around -3dB to -6dB of headroom. Please remove any limiters from your master chain before exporting.
Do you master genres other than hip-hop?
Yes! While I have a heavy background in hip-hop (with gold and platinum credentials), I have extensive experience mastering various genres, especially heavy metal, rock, and pop. If it needs to sound powerful, I’ve got you covered.
What if I am not happy with the first master?
very package includes revisions. I want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the final result. Just give me specific feedback, and I will adjust the tone or loudness to match your vision.
