How should I send my footage to you?
You can upload your footage to Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or a similar cloud service and send me the shareable link. For larger projects (over 20GB), please contact me first to discuss the best transfer method.
What is the difference between Color Correction and Color Grading?
Color Correction is technical, I fix exposure, white balance, and contrast to make the image look natural. Color Grading is creative, I give the video a specific "look" or atmosphere (e.g., cinematic, vintage, moody) to match your story. My gig covers both!
What file formats do you accept?
I accept almost all video formats, including MP4, MOV, PRORES, DNxHD/HR, and RAW formats (BRAW, R3D, ARRI). I can work with LOG (S-Log, C-Log, V-Log) and standard Rec.709 footage.
Do you need the full video file or an XML/EDL?
For short clips (under 2 minutes), a high-quality rendered video file (ProRes/DNxHR) is fine. For longer projects with many cuts (like films or music videos), sending an XML or EDL file along with the original source footage is the professional standard for the best quality results.
Can you save footage that is very dark or out of focus?
I can significantly improve footage using noise reduction and sharpening tools. However, if the footage is extremely underexposed (pitch black) or completely out of focus, there are limits to what can be recovered. Please send a sample first if you are unsure!
Will you edit my video (cut/trim) as well?
This gig focuses specifically on Color Grading. However, I can do basic editing (trimming/cutting) for an extra fee. Please check my Gig Extras or message me for a custom offer.
What software do you use?
I use DaVinci Resolve Studio, which is the industry standard for high-end color grading.
