FAQ
Will you delete anything?
No. I archive, which hides a channel from the sidebar and keeps its messages searchable and restorable. I don't delete channels or messages. Deletion is permanent and I only discuss it if you ask. I send you the full list of changes for approval before I touch anything.
How do you decide a channel is unused?
By activity, such as no messages in a period like 90 days, plus member count and purpose. I flag borderline channels instead of guessing, and you make the final call. Some quiet channels, like incident or compliance channels, should stay, so I ask before archiving.
Will renaming channels break anything?
Renaming can affect integrations, bookmarks, automations, and people's habits, even though links usually survive. I check connected apps and workflows before renaming, rename in batches, and give you an announcement template so your team isn't surprised.
What admin access do you need, and can you change roles?
I need a temporary admin role, and some actions, like changing owners or managing workspace-wide settings, may require an Owner. I recommend reviewing who holds admin and owner roles, and I only change roles with your approval. You remove my access when I'm done.
How long does it take?
Basic takes 1-3 days. Standard takes 3-6 days. Premium takes 6-12 days, depending on workspace size and how quickly you approve changes. What I can see and change depends on your Slack plan, so I confirm that before starting.
