How long is the feedback report?
Reports typically run 3–8 pages depending on word count and what I find—detailed enough to be genuinely useful and specific enough to be immediately actionable.
Is this the same as an editorial assessment?
Beta reading is a reader’s perspective focused on story experience. An editorial assessment is a more formal professional evaluation. Beta reading is the right starting point for most manuscripts before investing in full editorial services.
Do you make edits to the manuscript itself?
Beta reading is feedback only. I read your manuscript and deliver a written report. If you’d like line-level edits, my copyediting gig is the right service.
What if my manuscript is longer than 120,000 words?
