A beta read is usually the first part of the editing process before publishing and allows you to get comments about your novel from a reader's perspective.
Thus, my developmental editing feedback will focus on a variety of different areas, such as:
- The first chapter and opening scene: was it captivating?
- How was the character development? Are your characters consistent?
- The pace and plotline: did it progress well? Was anything confusing?
- Dialogue: does it feel natural? What is its emotional impact?
- Setting: how is the world you've created?
- Target audience: will they understand the complexity of the plot?
You'll receive a Word document feedback report from me, which will be at least 700 words.
