I will analyze your fantasy or web novel for reader retention and bingeability
Reader Perspective Specialist for Xianxia, Cultivation and Progression Fantasy
About this Gig
Your web novel has readers, but they're leaving. Chapter 3, 8, 15... somewhere, they close the tab and never come back. You don't know where or why.
That's what I help you discover.
I've spent 5+ years and 13,000+ hours reading web fiction- 200+ million words, covering 500+ novels across Xianxia, Wuxia, Cultivation, LitRPG, Progression Fantasy, Isekai, and more. I've read stories that hooked me for 2,000+ chapters and stories I dropped after a few chapters or even midway through the first chapter.
I don't read like a traditional editor. I read from a reader's perspective and identify where engagement weakens and why readers stop.

FAQ
What genres do you not work with?
Yes. I currently don’t accept projects primarily focused on BL/MM romance, Futanari, Shotacon, or sexual content involving minors. GL and heterosexual romance may be accepted if they fit my areas of expertise. Please message me if you are unsure.
What genres do you specialize in?
I specialize in Xianxia, Wuxia, Xuanhuan, Cultivation, Progression Fantasy, LitRPG, Isekai, Power Progression, Fantasy, Action/Adventure, Harem, YA, and mature/adult romance or erotic fiction. Other fantasy and web-fiction projects may be considered case by case.
Do you use AI to write reports?
No. The analysis, observations, conclusions, and recommendations are my own. AI may be used only for minor organizational or formatting assistance. Your feedback is based on my own reading and judgment.
Who is this for?
Web novel authors on Royal Road, Scribble Hub, WebNovel, or any similar platform, as well as self-published print and ebook authors — especially Xianxia, LitRPG, Wuxia, and Progression Fantasy writers — who want honest, reader-focused feedback on their opening chapters, before or after launch.
Do you accept incomplete/in-progress drafts?
Yes. Most of my clients are actively serializing and want to fix problems before more readers drop off.
Do you edit or rewrite my chapters?
No. I diagnose reader drop-off points. Fixing the prose itself is a separate service — check my other gigs if you need that.
What formats do you accept for submissions and deliverables?
I accept DOCX, PDF, Google Docs, and support online publishing links. Reports can be delivered in PDF or DOCX format.
Is my manuscript confidential?
Yes. Your manuscript, ideas, and project details are treated as confidential and will not be shared with others or used publicly without your permission.
What is The Reader Beyond?
A Reader Experience Consulting service for web novel authors. Instead of grammar or line editing, I analyze your story from a reader's perspective—what keeps readers hooked and what quietly makes them stop reading.
Can you guarantee success?
No one can guarantee success — too many factors are outside anyone's control. What I can guarantee is honest, reader-focused feedback that shows you exactly where readers lose interest and how to fix it. Authors who act on that feedback consistently see stronger retention and reader engagement.
