About this Gig
Hello! My name is Dante (he/they) and, if you want me to, I will beta read your writing.
My reviews focus on:
- Characters (general appeal; sensibleness of their emotions and motivations; arcs. I can also check of OOC moments IF AND ONLY IF you want me to. I need to know the fandom well, though);
- Story (general interest; immersion);
- Flow/Structure (pacing; order of events);
- Tone (narrator's manner; cohesion).
If you pay for that extra I will also proofread grammar, spelling, ponctuation and vocabulary.
I know QL (BL & GL) and KPOP the best, but different series and groups will have different levels of knowledge. I also know book and game fandoms, but you'd have to ask because I'm not that well-rounded. I am willing to work with other fandoms, though.
Likewise, I don't mind most genres or themes. I can work with almost everything, no worries.
I will NOT review anything related to media created by J.K Rowling.

Do you use AI to review?
No, never. I'm against using generative AI for anything ever, both for ethical and ecological reasons. For better or for worse, all my reviews are exclusively made by me, myself and I.
Do review texts written using AI?
No. I'm against using generative AI for anything ever, for both ethical and ecological reasons. If your text uses AI in any way, shape or form, I have no interest in reviewing it. If a human didn't write it, this human won't read it.
Do you review stories about abuse, mental illnesses and/or other more sensitive topics?
Yes. All themes are valid and I'm generally willing to tackle them. If you want to make sure, though, you can ask me specifically about what's in your work and I'll let you know whether or not I'm comfortable with that.
Do you review stories with graphic depictions of violence?
Yes. It doesn't bother me.
Do you review sex scenes/smut?
Yes, I do. Vanilla and kinky, it's all good. I won't do Age Play; Bestiality (A/B/O and Werevolves it's fine, though); Pedophilia; and Scatophilia, though. There might be something else but I can't remember right now, so feel free to ask especifically if you're not sure.
Do you review RPF?
Yes, no problem. It was my gateway into writing, I'd be the last person on Earth to have a problem with it.
Do you review Y/N or self insert fics?
Sure thing. So long as you're comfortable with me doing it, I don't have any problems with it.
Do you review crackfics?
Yes, absolutely! I'm always in for a lighthearted thing, a bit of fun. It's no problem!
Do you review things other than fanfiction?
Yes, other fiction. I might be a little out of my depth with certain things because I don't know every genre super well, but, as long you don't mind, I'll do it. Do give me a headsup about it, though.
