Ideally, no. Professional labels etc will typically have mixes done at a 'mixing' studio. Then they move the file to a 'mastering' house. Basically, one should not mark their own homework. Only a few studios are able to successfully do both. Equipment & acoustics are key. We are lucky to have both.

No. This is a debatable myth. Each platform differs slightly with file levels once uploaded, but as long as your master is done correctly, at 'our' industry standard, then it will simply be 'matched' or 'lowered' to the platforms standard. Our LUFS 'loudness' level will work on all.

Yes. Even though many digital DAWs have excellent plugins that simulate analogue technology, there is always a noticeable difference when listening to a 'warm' sounding analogue version to a digital one.

Tape is not always needed. It all depends on the track. For live music, it can be of great benefit, however, for most digital 'in the box' music, like EDM etc, it is not always necessary and simply going for the middle 'Analogue & Digital' package would be perfect.

Without getting scientific, your mix-down version should be around -20 LUFS. Or, to simplify, around -3 to -5 dB in level. Try to avoid having any heavy limiting or compression on the output buss prior to printing/bouncing. Look at the 4th image on the gig page for presentation document.
