Why is my approach to book covers special?

Many people are used to the idea that the images used for a book cover come from stock photo sites like Adobe Stock - and don't get me wrong, stock images are wonderful for cover design. What do you do when you just can't find the right image for your background, or if none of the people in those pictures look anything like your protagonist?

That's where I use a 3D program called Daz Studio. Think of it as 3D stock images made to order. The program serves as a virtual photography studio, putting control of everything in our hands. We can make custom characters or build a background scene from 3D elements. The rendered images can be used like stock photos, except they'll be entirely unique to your book cover.
