About this gig
If you want to fundraise (Yes, that's still possible in 2023) you need a pitch deck.
Problem: Building PowerPoints sucks and the bad news is you can't simply use an existing template. Since:
- Investors sometimes see 14.000 pitches a year, so with a template, they have seen multiple times before, it will be hard to stand out.
- Templates are not built for pitching so you will have a hard time including the right type of content
In regard to content and storytelling, I like to hold onto the structure most Investors recommend to their founders and build the slide deck around the problem your company solves as well as your team and story.
Depending on your business model we might need to add one or two additional slides (e.g. if you are a deep tech company you might need a slide where you explain some technical perks).
Besides that, I highly recommend you stick more or less to a short but logical structure. Investors have 100+ hour weeks and don't want your 40-slide presentation.

I am building a SaaS Marketplace startup and occasionally invest in Startups.

I don't have content yet?!
The large bulk of people here on Fiverr will say "no problem just add it in later"... I say: Go buy a template for 10$ online and you got the same. I build an investment hypothesis that increases your chance of raising, if you have no idea what you want to do, this is impossible to do.
What about the source file?
With all my gigs you will receive the source file. I honestly don't get people selling something without it...
I work with apple. Can you also create a keynote presentation?
No...but you should get PowerPoint. The investment world works with PowerPoint and not with KeyNote. Sorry, Apple.
Can you introduce me to investors?
No. I don't know you.
Why you dont have different packages?
1. For me all pitch decks require more or less the same amount of work. 2. If you choose a cheaper package you get half a pitch deck or what? What is the idea of offering different types of pitch decks? A pitch deck should be perfect in any case.
Do you offer consulting?
Yes. With all my gigs comes a fair amount of consulting (I received great feedback for that). If you have extensive/above-average consulting needs I consult you on an hourly basis (check out my other gigs).
Do you also build other kinds of PowerPoints?
Depends. I am not a designer so I better not build a slide deck for your marriage (is that even a thing?). However, If you need to get stuff done that is related to investment banking I might be the right fit for you.
Why should I NOT hire a designer to build my pitch deck?
Go and have a look at some pitch decks of companies that raised successfully...you will see that they are not the most beautiful ones. In fact, they are often ugly (I didn't say that)...but they do one thing right: Show the investor a viable investment hypothesis. A designer just can't do that.
Are you a Designer?
No. You will certainly find people building more beautiful pitch decks. However, I understand how Investors see and value your startup and I know what they want to read (and what not). I worked with American and European Venture Capital so I know a bit about fundraising...
