About this gig
You know that guy who falls asleep in meetings, and awakes with a "Hah?!?" The guy who yells at kids on his lawn? Or recommends prune juice to random folks at the store? Or the kindly grandpa, reading to his beloved grandchildren?
That's me. I can voice your script as an old coot, for your website, podcast, video, game, app, commercial, or phone message. Check out my video for a sample. And I customarily do several takes for you, at different voice ages.
Acoustically-treated voice booth; large-capsule condenser mic; digital workstation (audio is gently equalized); New and stout workstation hardware and up-to-date software; WAV files provided (other formats on request).
I will be out of state from June 16-28; I will have my gear with me and will record from the road. But if the quality is not what it should be, it may take until my return to get it right. Please do NOT place an order, but rather, send a script in a message, and let's see what I can do, quality-wise. If it works, great! If not, I would prefer not to make you wait or deal with a cancellation.

I'm actually 67, so I have enough old coot in me to feel the part... but I'm still together enough to provide you with a professional performance and files.
Will you record something racy for me to send to my girlfriend?
Nope. I'll leave that to you. My wife does Quality Control for me and sits at the next desk over. She'll whack me if I talk like that. And besides, I get the giggles, and don't know what a lot of those words mean. And I don't do testimonials, TTS or AI development work.

How many words fit in a minute?
60 sec, 100-120 words: lots of inflection, a sincere read. I do my best work at this speed; 60 sec, 130 words: typical straight read; 60 sec, 140 words: fast read - starting to sound forced (it's hard for me to go faster) 60 sec, 150 words: hard sell, maximum speed read. Often agitates the listener.
