About this Gig
Have a physical PCB you need replicated, or an old board with no design files? I'll reverse engineer it extracting the schematic, recreating the layout, and producing a complete manufacturing package so you can reproduce or improve the board.
What I can do:
- Reverse engineer PCBs from high-resolution photos, X-ray images, or physical inspection data
- Identify and document all components ICs, passives, connectors
- Recreate the schematic from the physical board
- Reproduce the PCB layout in KiCad or EasyEDA, matching or improving the original
- Extract and format a full BOM for reordering
- Redesign or modernise the board during cloning (replace obsolete components, improve traces)
What you need to provide:
- High-resolution photos of top and bottom of the PCB
- Photos with good lighting all component markings must be legible
- Confirmation of any proprietary ICs or custom chips (these can't be reverse engineered)

FAQ
What photos do you need to reverse engineer a board?
High resolution images of the top and bottom of the bare board (components visible), ideally 12MP+ with sharp focus on IC markings. If possible, also send photos under strong raking light to reveal trace paths on single layer boards.
Q: Can you reverse engineer multilayer boards?
2-layer and 4-layer boards can typically be reverse engineered from photos. 6-layer+ boards require X-ray images for inner layers, this is possible but must be arranged separately. Message me first to confirm feasibility.
What happens if a component is unidentifiable?
I'll flag unidentified components in the BOM and suggest likely replacements based on context, package, and circuit function. You'll know exactly what's confirmed and what's estimated.
Can you modernise or improve the board during cloning?
Yes, the Premium tier includes a redesign/optimisation option. I can replace obsolete parts, improve routing, reduce board size, or update the design for modern fab tolerances.
