What's the difference between your packages?
Basic covers proofreading and light copy edits. Standard adds line editing and a brief editorial note. Premium is the full service: developmental feedback, line edits, tracked changes, and a full editorial report.
Do you work with first drafts? Yes. First drafts are welcome.
You don't need a polished manuscript to get useful feedback. Some of the most helpful work happens at the rough draft stage.
Will you rewrite my memoir for me?
No. This is editing, not ghostwriting. I'll improve what you've written and flag what needs more work, but the words stay yours.
How long will the edit take?
It depends on word count and package. I'll confirm turnaround before you order. Most manuscripts come back within 3-7 days.
Do you preserve my voice?
That's the whole point. A good editor doesn't overwrite your voice, they make it clearer. I flag where your voice is strong and where it goes quiet when it shouldn't.
What format do you need the manuscript in?
A Word document (.doc or .docx) works best for tracked changes. If you have something else, message me first.
Can you edit just a chapter or a section?
Yes. Sample edits and partial manuscripts are available. Message me with your word count.
What if I disagree with your edits?
Tracked changes means you accept or reject every edit individually. Nothing happens to your manuscript without your decision.
Do you have experience with faith-based or Christian memoirs?
