About this gig

Desktop apps often look like nobody thought about them. The buttons work, but the spacing is off, the dark mode is unreadable, and nothing tells the user where they are.

I design the interface for Windows desktop applications and hand you something you can build from. If you work in WPF or WinUI, I can hand you the XAML directly, so your developer copies files instead of measuring pixels from a picture.

Every colour I give you is checked against the WCAG contrast rules, and I tell you the number. Body text at 4.5 to 1 or better, controls and borders at 3 to 1 or better. Those numbers decide whether someone can still use your app in a bright room or ends up squinting at it.

You also get a visible keyboard focus. Most desktop apps lose it the moment someone restyles a button, and then the app is unusable without a mouse.

My own work is public. Tapete is a Windows program I wrote and designed, with four switchable themes, source code and all: github.com/Kroto91/Tapete. Look at it before you order.

I write newsletters for online shops, and I deliver them finished, not as a draft someone else has to clean up. My background is warehouse logistics, which means I have spent years around the products people sell online and know how those businesses actually work. I switched to writing because I care more about what makes someone open an email than about what is on the pallet. I answer messages within a few hours and I keep deadlines. If a newsletter is not the right thing for your shop, I will say so.
