Need an independent structural check of a steel silo before fabrication or after a capacity change? I am a structural engineer (M.Sc.) with 25 years of experience in steel silos, industrial steel structures and FEA.


What I check:

  • Silo loads to EN 1991-4 (filling, discharge, eccentric discharge), wind, snow and seismic actions
  • Shell, roof and hopper strength and buckling to EN 1993-4-1
  • Stiffeners, ring beams, support columns and bracing
  • Anchor bolts and foundation reactions


How I work:

  • Hand calculations plus a finite element model (RFEM / SimSolid)
  • Clear PDF report with assumptions, utilization ratios and recommendations
  • Other codes (AISC, ACI 313, Turkish codes) on request
