What .NET applications can you modernize?
I can modernize .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WinForms and other legacy C# applications. I will first review the project to determine compatibility, dependencies and the safest modernization approach.
Can you migrate .NET Framework to the latest .NET version?
Yes. Depending on the application, I can migrate it to a currently supported modern .NET version. The exact target version will be selected after reviewing your framework version, dependencies and hosting requirements.
Will my existing business logic be preserved?
Yes. The objective is to preserve existing business behavior while modernizing the framework, dependencies and technical architecture. Any behavior-changing refactoring will be discussed before implementation.
Can you migrate Entity Framework 6 to EF Core?
Yes. EF6 to EF Core migration can be included when required. I will review mappings, queries, migrations and unsupported features because EF6 and EF Core are not fully compatible.
Do you modernize WinForms applications?
Yes. I can migrate legacy WinForms applications from .NET Framework to modern .NET. Larger WinForms projects involving major architecture or backend separation are handled through my dedicated WinForms modernization service.
Do you migrate WCF or SOAP services to REST APIs?
Yes, but WCF, SOAP, ASMX and SOA modernization is handled through my dedicated service modernization gig because these projects usually require API contract and integration redesign.
Do you need access to my source code?
Yes. For an accurate assessment or migration, I normally need access to the relevant solution, project files and dependency information. Repository access can be limited to the code required for the project.
Should I contact you before ordering?
Yes, especially for Standard and Premium packages. Legacy applications vary significantly in size and complexity, so I need to review the scope before confirming the appropriate package.
