I will professionally mix and master your live concert multitrack

About this gig
Are you sitting on a great live recording that sounds messy, thin, or ruined by stage bleed?
Live multitrack recordings are notoriously difficult to mix. The drum mics pick up the guitars, the vocal mic picks up the cymbals, and phase issues can destroy your low-end. You don't just need a studio mixer; you need an engineer who understands the reality of the stage.
I am an active FOH (Front of House) and Monitor engineer with extensive experience handling massive provincial festivals and multi-genre live recording sessions (from rock and cumbia to acoustic ensembles and opera). I bridge the gap between live energy and studio precision.
What I will do for your live recording:
- Surgical Cleanup & Bleed Control: Reducing unwanted cymbal bleed in vocal mics and isolating instruments without making them sound artificial.
- Phase Alignment: Utilizing technical acoustic principles to align your drum shells and bass tracks for a massive, punchy low-end.
- Crowd Noise Management: Automating audience mics to enhance the live feel between songs and pulling them back during the performance.
- The Mix & Master (Cubase 12): Balancing, EQ, dynamic control, and final loudness optimization,

FAQ
Do you use automated software to clean the bleed?
No. While I use advanced gates and dynamic EQs, I manually automate the process. Live music breathes, and aggressive automatic gating can cut off the natural decay of instruments. I preserve the live energy while cleaning the mess.
What happens if my tracks are clipping/distorting?
If the audio was recorded too hot and has digital distortion, I can apply advanced audio restoration tools to mitigate it, but severe clipping cannot always be fully removed. Please contact me with a sample before ordering so I can evaluate the audio health!
Wich DAW do you use?
I use Cubase 12.
Can you mix the audience/crowd microphones?
Yes, audience mics are essential for capturing the live energy! Please include them in your multitrack delivery. I will automate the crowd noise, bringing it up naturally between songs and during big sing-along moments, and tucking it away when the band is playing so the mix stays clean.
What if I don't have multitracks, but just a stereo board mix (L/R from the console) and a camera mic?
I can definitely help. While I cannot isolate individual instruments on a stereo file, I can use EQ, multiband compression, and stereo imaging to sweeten the board mix, recover lost frequencies, and blend it with your camera audio to add room ambience and crowd presence.
I am a live sound engineer. Can you prep a Show File for my digital console instead of doing a post-mix?
Yes! Since I regularly operate live sound, I can prep and route offline show files for consoles like the Allen & Heath SQ-5, Midas M32, Behringer X Air, or Yamaha desks. Contact me via inbox for a custom offer regarding console programming.
