If your restaurant needs and deserves a cookbook for marketing or for legacy, I can make it happen. Prices are for proposal writing and query letter submissions. Full development services are available for additional cost. I can walk you through the decision tree to determine if you want to go the traditional (national and regional) press route or the self/hybrid publishing route. To do this right I will need you to supply the recipes and give me 15 hours of your time over the course of the project. I work as a credited co-author, but if you want invisible ghostwriting services, I can do that at a significantly higher price. I'm happy to consult with you at no charge prior to engagement.

That is dependent on your goals and your budget, but I'm happy to converse with you about the benefits and drawbacks of each one.
What is the all-in cost of a cookbook?
For self publishing, you can count on paying at least $50,000-$125,000 for a quality product. Can you do it cheaper? Sure, but you get what you pay for. For traditional publishing the costs transfer to the publisher as soon as they accept your proposal, so your costs can be as low as $10,000
How long does all of this take?
For a self-published cookbook - 1 to 2 years For a regional publisher - 2 years For a national publisher - 3 years
What are the odds of getting my cookbook published?
If you have the budget for self-publishing, you have a 100% chance, but sales of the book will be entirely up to you. If you go the traditional publishing route, your odds are low without professional help, and only slightly higher with that help. Have thick skin. There will be lots of rejection.
