What is Mixing ?
Mixing is the process of blending individual parts of a recording/production to come up with the best possible version of a song. The mixing process includes, fine tuning the sound of each instrument using EQ, Compression, Saturation, adding reverb and other effects etc...
Why is Mixing important ?
Mixing ensures that no matter the fashion in which the music has been recorded, it impacts with the correct aesthetic and allows the listener to be enveloped by the song. Its what makes you song sound as good as possible(and as intended) on as many music reproduction systems as possible
Why should I work with you ?
Lots of experience and a very big portfolio to prove it! In Fiverr you can read my reviews and positive feedback! I use high end analog gear that give the pro sound you seek when you hire a Mixing/Mastering engineer. I am a dedicated Mixing/Mastering engineer with a clear focus at just that!
How do I send you my song?
I need all the tracks at the sample rate you worked on and 24bit wav. Please name the tracks correctly and let me know the tempo and key. If there are effects crucial in the production keep them in!
Can you pitch correct vocals ?
Yes, it is an extra on mixing. Have in mind tuning has limits and the vocal delivery is way off then we might need to do a call and work out the proper notes together.
Can you do timing corrections/timing editing ?
Yes I can! I can edit every instrument it can be edited! Its as an extra in the order but again custom orders are always possible depending on your needs! So feel free to ask!
Do you have analog gear?
Yes I have! I have some key analog pieces that I use in conjunction with plugins for the best of both worlds! I usually treat my vocals with a real 1176 and I always have an analog MixBus with gear from Rupert Neve and Tegeler audio manufacture!
What DAW do you work with?
My favourite DAW is Reaper. If you use a different DAW it's not a problem for me. You simply export the tracks, name them correctly and send them over! Its better than sending the DAW project!
What Kind of genre do you Mix/Master??
I do almost everything. I have worked in a commercial studio and got in contact with a lot of styles everyday. I have done Hip-Hop/Rock/Metal/Folk/Electronic etc.... I have examples for everything so feel free to ask!
