What do I need to speed up your site?
Only WordPress login with admin rights. Your login will be safe with me (privacy). And please remember to remove it when I'm done.
Do I optimize websites for both mobile and desktop?
Yes, I optimize websites for both mobile and desktop, but the score can be different. Most of the time we can't get better results for mobile because of the theme and its functionalities. But we can achieve much better results than without optimization, 50 plus for mobile can be possible normal.
How long will it take me to speed up your website?
Usually one to two days, but it depends on the workload. And I am and I am not always here on Saturdays and Sundays.
What means green mark on Google Page Speed Insights?
It means that no significant problems were found. You should aim for this at least on the desktop. However, not all websites can reach the green mark because many websites use too old themes or too many images or too big.
What is CDN? Do I really need it?
A content delivery network (CDN) is a system of globally distributed servers on a network that serve web pages and other web content to a user based on the user's geographic location. If your server is in the same area of your main target audience's region, you don't really need a CDN.
When is a CDN recommended?
If your server is located in the USA, for example, but you are active in German-speaking countries, a CDN is generally recommended. But also if you are active worldwide and the website should be delivered optimally in different regions.
What types of websites can I not optimize?
There are many possible problems that I can't optimize: - Websites that use too much external code, like Facebook, Pinterest, Google Map, etc. The only solution is to remove them if possible. - Hosting without GZIP mode or too small for the scope and size of the website. The hosting is too slow.
Can I optimize staging websites?
No, I don't optimize staging websites because staging websites usually don't show the live results or we can't check the staging websites with GTmetrix or Google Page Speed Insights.
Is there a restriction?
Yes, I can only optimize a limited number of images (less than 20) because optimizing images is very tiring. So if your homepage and other pages have many images to optimize, it may be necessary to ask for extras.
