The Department of Justice has ruled that all public-facing documents (City Master Plans, Parks and Rec Comprehensive Plans, etc.) for municipalities over 50,000 people must comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA by April 2026. For municipalities less than 50,000, the deadline is January 2027.
I will remediate (make accessible) your Word and PDF documents to meet these guidelines. This includes adding alternate text, checking color contrast, tagging your PDF document, making tables accessible or adding guidance on how to make them accessible, and checking for semantic headings.
