SHOE NEST | Footwear CAD & Pattern Development
I use ICAD and Shoemaster to develop technical shoe patterns for sneakers, formal leather shoes, sandals, boots, safety footwear and kids shoes.
Basic: 1 style, 1 base size, up to 12 upper/lining pattern pieces, DXF/PDF and editable source; 1 revision.
Standard: 1 style, up to 20 pieces, 5 sizes total (base + 4), size chart and files; 2 revisions.
Premium: 1 style, up to 20 pieces, 7 sizes total (base + 6), files, size chart, technical pack, BOM and material consumption/cost estimate; 3 revisions.
Please contact me before ordering to confirm complexity, construction, last/base pattern, grading rules and compatible file formats. Supply an appropriate shoe last or validated base pattern, design references and measurements.
Deliverables are digital. Physical sampling and fit validation by your factory are required; fit is not guaranteed. Safety certification/testing, outsole tooling and physical samples are excluded. Revisions cover adjustments to the agreed brief; new designs, lasts or size ranges require a separate quote. Costing depends on buyer-supplied material prices and factory assumptions.

What do you need before starting?
Please send design views, shoe category, construction, base size, units, measurements and an appropriate shoe last or validated base pattern. For grading, provide size range and grading rules. I will confirm file compatibility and scope before you order.
Which shoe types and software do you work with?
I personally use ICAD and Shoemaster for sneakers, formal leather shoes, sandals, boots, safety footwear and kids shoes. This service focuses on technical upper/lining patterns. Safety certification and laboratory testing are not included.
Which files will I receive?
Packages include 2D patterns in agreed DXF/PDF formats and editable source files in the supported native format. Confirm software versions, units, scale and import requirements before ordering. Not every CAD format transfers identically between systems.
Is physical fit guaranteed?
No. Patterns depend on the supplied last/base pattern, materials and construction. Your factory must make samples and validate fit before production. Physical samples, shoe lasts, sole molds and tooling are not included.
What counts as a revision?
A revision is one consolidated round of adjustments within the agreed design, last and size range. Basic includes 1 round, Standard 2 and Premium 3. New designs, a changed last, extra pieces or extra sizes require a separate quote.
What is included in the Premium technical pack?
A PDF pack for one style with design views, component labels, construction notes, agreed measurements and BOM, plus a consumption/cost estimate using supplied material widths, prices and factory assumptions. Estimates are not supplier quotations or guaranteed FOB prices.
