What genres do you beta read?
I beta read YA fantasy, horror, memoir, sci fic, romance, cozy mystery, thrillers, mystery, and many other fiction genres. If you're unsure whether your book is a good fit, send me a message first.
What will I receive?
You'll receive a detailed reader report covering plot, pacing, characters, world-building, dialogue, emotional impact, confusing scenes, strengths, weaknesses, and practical suggestions to improve your manuscript.
Is beta reading the same as developmental editing?
No. Beta reading focuses on the reader's experience and reactions, while developmental editing provides deeper editorial guidance. However, I include developmental-style observations that many authors find extremely valuable.
Will you proofread or edit my grammar?
Not but for this gig my focus is on the story itself. I point out recurring writing issues when they affect readability, but you can check my other gig for copy edit and proofreading service.
Can I send a completed novel or just a few chapters?
Both are welcome. I can review complete manuscripts, novellas, or individual chapters
