Have a scanned document that needs editing, correcting, or converting into an editable file? I retype and edit scanned documents into clean, accurate Word documents or fully editable PDFs fixing errors, restoring formatting, and making content you can actually work with again.

Scanned documents often can't simply be retype the normal way the text is really just an image. I retype the content manually (or carefully correct OCR output) so you end up with a real, editable document: one you can update, reformat, copy from, or fill in going forward.
This works well for old contracts, forms, reports, certificates, or any paper document you need brought back into an editable digital format accurately and without missing details.

What does "editable PDF" mean, versus a regular scanned PDF?
A scanned PDF is really just an image — you can't select, edit, or search the text. An editable PDF has real, selectable text that you can update, copy, or fill in like a normal document.
Do you retype the document manually, or just run it through OCR software?
Both, depending on quality — I use OCR as a starting point where it's reliable, but every document is manually reviewed and corrected, since OCR alone often misreads scans, handwriting, and tables.
Can you fix errors in an existing scanned document, not just retype it?
Yes — if the scan has outdated info, typos, or sections that need updating, let me know what changes are needed and I'll edit the content as I retype it.
Will the retyped document keep the original layout and formatting?
Yes, I match spacing, tables, and layout as closely as possible to the original scan.
What if the scan quality is poor or hard to read?
I can work with moderate quality scans, but very low-resolution or heavily degraded scans may take longer — feel free to send a sample page first if you're unsure.
