Are you filing the Texas registration on my behalf and how much are state fees to register my entity in Texas?
I prepare the documents fully prepared for you to upload directly. I do not file on your behalf. The state fee is $770.25 for most entities. If your entity is a nonprofit, the fee is $25.68. I will provide more information on how to upload and pay when I prepare your documents.
I have a registered agent in my home state, do I have to have a registered agent in Texas?
A registered foreign entity in Texas is required to maintain a registered agent with an office with a physical address in Texas. PO Boxes or any mailbox service are not allowed. If you do not live in Texas, there are services that provide such service for an annual fee.
Do I have to file an annual report in Texas when I register my entity in Texas?
All foreign entities registered in Texas must file an annual Texas Franchise Tax Reports. If your entity's revenue is below $2.7 million, no tax is due. I will provide more details with delivery (and have a separate gig to e-file these reports). Nonprofits can apply for exemption.
