Without tags, a screen reader guesses the reading order and can't tell a heading from a paragraph. I fix your PDF so it reads correctly, with real headings, lists, tables and image descriptions.
What I fix

How I check
Every file goes through veraPDF (PDF/UA-1) and PAC 2024 (PDF/UA and WCAG). I deliver only when both show 0 failures. Then I review what machines can't: does each alt text match its image, and does it read well aloud?

FAQ
Which tools do you use to check the file?
veraPDF (PDF/UA-1, ISO 14289-1) and PAC 2024 (PDF/UA and WCAG). Both are free, so you can run them yourself. I deliver only when both show 0 failures. If I cannot get there, I will tell you and cancel the order.
Do you use AI?
Yes. I use AI (Claude) to speed up tagging and to draft alt text. Each alt text is compared with its image and the reading order is reviewed before delivery. If your files must not go into an AI tool, please tell me and I will not take the order.
Can you fix scanned PDFs or fillable forms?
Please message me first. Scanned pages need text recognition before tagging, and forms need extra work, so I will give you a price after seeing the file.
Will my document look different?
I keep your layout. If a file has to be rebuilt to fix it properly, I will show you one page first and start only after you agree.
Do you work with Japanese documents?
Yes. Japanese is my native language. I handle Japanese files, including vertical text, and set the language so screen readers use Japanese pronunciation. For furigana (ruby), please ask first.
What happens to my files?
I use them only for your order. The AI service I use is set not to train on your files, and I delete my copies after the order is complete.
