I will design hpdc molds and dies for aluminum and zinc casting

I design High-Pressure Die Casting molds for aluminum, zinc and magnesium castings used in automotive, electronics, and consumer products.

What you will receive:

• 3D CAD Model of Die Assembly - Cavity + Core + Slide + Ejector side
• Design of Gating System - Runner, Biscuit, Gate, Overflow, Vent
• Cooling line design for cycle time and warpage reduction
• Slide and core pull mechanism design
• Layout of Ejector pin and Ejector plate
• 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances
• DFM report to address defects: cold shuts, porosity, solder imperfections, flash.

Software: SolidWorks, CATIA V5, Creo, Fusion 360

For die design, I take into account the following:

1. Injection pressure: 60 - 1650 bar
2. Die material: Tool Steel (H-11,H13 & SKD61 plus nitriding treatment)
3. Tonnage of the machine: 100T - 1500T
4. Cycle time and die lifespan: 90 - 600k shots

To start working please provide me with:

• 3D model of the casting part in STEP/IGES
• What material is the casting? Al, Zn, or Mg alloy?
• Tonnage of machine used (if available).
• Actual volume per year.
