About this gig
- My art connects the sky and the ground. A mix of William Blakes visions and the friendly easygoing feel of modern cartoons. Every picture I make has flowing lines that look like handwriting moving across the page and giving my characters a three-dimensional alive feel. I see shadows not as dark areas but as strong dramatic parts of the picture deep dark areas made with lots of lines that give my characters real weight like they could step out and talk to you. Even though my work has a fashioned grand feel I add a fun and lively spirit. My characters act out emotions with clear expressions making big ideas feel close to home. Whether I'm showing an open space or a room with a candle burning I add a sense of important stories in every bit of smoke and every piece of cloth. The final result feels like it has been around, for a time but is still easy to understand respecting old stories while talking directly to people today turning every scene into a forgotten picture that is full of new funny energy.
