About this gig
Most speed gigs install a caching plugin, squash your images, and send you a screenshot. If that was all it took, your site would already be fast.
The real problems are usually underneath WordPress. No object cache. PHP workers untuned. OPcache off. A database full of transients and old revisions. Responses going out uncompressed. A CDN that isn't actually caching anything.
I work at both levels, because I'm a WordPress developer who also runs the servers.
What I do:
- Page caching set up properly, not just switched on
- Redis or Memcached object caching
- PHP-FPM and OPcache tuning
- Gzip or Brotli, plus browser cache headers
- Database cleanup: transients, revisions, orphaned meta
- Critical CSS, deferred JavaScript, font loading
- Cloudflare or CDN configuration
- Core Web Vitals: LCP, CLS and INP
On measuring, because this is where a lot of reports quietly cheat: I test before and after the same way, cache warm and compression on. Leave either one out and the numbers mean nothing.
What I can change does depend on your host. On shared hosting some server level tuning simply isn't available, and you'll hear that from me before you order rather than after.

No, and be wary of anyone who does. The score depends on your host, theme and content as much as on my work. What you'll get is the same test run before and after so you can see exactly what changed, plus a plain explanation of anything I couldn't fix and why.
Will optimization break my site or design?
I take a full backup before I start and I test after every change. Caching and asset optimization can affect layout if they're applied carelessly, so I check as I go. If something does shift, the backup means it's quick to put right.
Do I need a specific hosting provider?
No, I work with all hosting environments, including shared, VPS, and managed WordPress hosting. Server-level tuning is available on VPS and dedicated servers.
What information do I need to provide?
Your site URL, WordPress admin access, and hosting panel or FTP access. I'll handle the rest.
How do you deliver the results?
Along with the optimized site, I deliver a written report showing before/after PageSpeed scores, what was changed, and recommendations for maintaining performance.
