FAQ
I have both W-2 and 1099 income. Which package do I need?
If you have both W-2 employment income and 1099 self-employment income you need the Standard or Premium package. This covers Schedule C for business income alongside your W-2. Message me before ordering to confirm the right package.
Can you file both my federal and state tax returns?
Federal Form 1040 is included in all packages. State returns are available as a paid add-on. Message me with your state and I will quote you. Note: 9 US states have no income tax and require no state return.
I filed an extension. What is my new deadline?
If you filed Form 4868 by April 15 your new filing deadline is October 15, 2026. You still owe any taxes due by April 15 — the extension only extends the time to file, not the time to pay.
What documents do I need to provide?
You will need your W-2 forms, any 1099 forms (NEC, K, INT, DIV), Social Security number, and receipts for deductible expenses. I will send a full personalised checklist after you place your order.
Can you file for prior years?
Yes. I can prepare late returns for prior years going back to 2021. Filing late stops ongoing penalties from building up. Message me with the year or years needed and I will provide a custom quote.
